There are eight different types of Custom Fields:
- Entry Widget: A field to enter one line of information. Can have a default value and be linked to the Contact Directory or a Media Name (Media Library license needed).
- Text Widget: An expandable field to store multiple lines of information. Can have a default value and be linked to the Contact Directory. You can also add a clickable hyperlink or file path to this widget.
- Selector Widget: A field which allows the User to select a value from a pre-defined list.
in 7.1 we have updated the Selector Widget when "Allow Multiple Selection" is enabled.
If the Allow Multiple Selection is set to Yes, the pre-defined list will appear with check boxes next to each option on the list and selection can be made by checking the box or by searching, using the down arrow and hitting 'Enter' . To exit the field either click Done at the bottom of the list or click anywhere outside the list.
You can now use your keyboard's arrow keys to navigate up and down, then click enter to choose a selection.

Either use keyboard ESCAPE button or use your mouse to click "Done" to submit selections.
- Date Widget: A field which allows choosing a date from the calendar. To clear the date click on the date icon and select Clear in the Calendar window. A date field will allow searches within a time range of start and end date in the Advanced Searches (Advanced Project Search, Advanced Media Search, Advanced Contact Search, Invoice Manager).
- Checkbox Widget: A box that when checked it means Yes, and when not checked it means No. If the additional option 'Tristate' is selected a third option is available to disable the field when it does not apply.
- Files Widget: A field that allows uploading one or multiple files. Other available file options are: Upload, Download, Rename, Delete.
- Thumbnail Widget: A field that allows uploading one or multiple files to be used as thumbnail - recommended size is 144x144. The Label name is set to Thumbnail and can't be changed. Thumbnail Custom Fields are usually used for companies that use the Equipment Management Tracking (EMT) tool of farmerswife to display the Thumbnail image in the Object Browser, the Dispatch module and in the iOS farmerswife application. - Images Widget: A field that allows uploading one or multiple files. The Label name is set to Images and can't be changed. Images Custom Fields are usually used for companies that use the EMT tool of farmerswife to display the image in the Object Browser, the Dispatch module and in the iOS farmerswife application.
