Deleted Contacts Behaviour
When a Contact is deleted from your database, the record of the Contact still exists in the Project, Invoice, etc.
However, farmerswife will notify, for example, that the Project's Client does not match an Active Contact in the database, and will suggest you update this to an Active Contact.
You have two options:
1. Keep Deleted Contact as the Project's Contact
After you hit Confirm to exit this notification, you will need to hit "cancel" to close out of the Project screen, and this will preserve the Deleted Contact as the Project's Contact.
2. Update Deleted Contact with an Active Contact
Simply type in the Client field to replace this with an Active Contact in your database, and click OK to Save your Project.
Accidentally Deleted A Contact?
If you accidentally deleted a Contact, the fastest way to recover this Contact's data is to search for a Project or Invoice with this Contact's name and use the information to then manually re-create the Contact.
As a last resort effort, you can roll back your farmerswife server to a time before you deleted the Contact(s). However, keep in mind that you will also lose all history of Projects, Bookings, Invoices, etc. created during the time of your rollback to today.
Should you choose to seek this option, and host your database, you can find the instructions here.
If your server is cloud-hosted by farmerswife, send in a rollback request to [email protected] and be specific about the dates/times you would like to rollback to.
