The Advanced Personnel Management Module (further one called PM) is designed for companies that want to track worked time, overtime compensation, other work compensation (time or money), earned vacation, sabbatical etc. of their employees on a more advanced level than the standard Personnel Management function in farmerswife provides.
The module itself is integrated into the Long Form > Personnel Tree and is therefore not accessed from any particular menu.
The PM module produces numbers. These numbers are affected by the so called Labour Rules that an employee has and by his bookings. To use the PM module, you must either have it on your license (“Labour Rules”) or run FW in demo mode.
Access to the Advanced Personnel Management
There are 3 User Permissions related to Labor Rules:
| Edit Personnel Management | Allows editing Personnel Bookings in the Long Form > Personnel Tree and in the Hourline (e.g. book Users sick, on shifts, vacation etc.). Gives access to Advanced Personnel Management configuration (if Labour Rules are licensed), like editing the rules. Allows to edit some advanced PM related settings in Toolbox > Settings > Personnel Tree > Server Setup. Setup Shifts and "Add Custom Personnel Types" (non Labour Rules function).  |
| View Personnel Management (if Edit Personnel Management = No) | Allows to see the Personnel Tree (even if "Edit Personnel Events" is not enabled) and access to Personnel Management > Reports. Cannot access Advanced Personnel (Labour Rules) settings (Rule Manager etc.). This is also accessible to "Tasks/Bookings" Users.   |
| Edit Personnel Events | Allows to view the Personnel Tree but no access to PM Reports or viewing PM Numbers. Only non Labour Rules Personnel Events and Totals. Allows to edit Personnel Events. This is accessible to "Tasks/Bookings" Users.  |
