Scheduled Financial Reports feature (available from 8.0) allow the reports to be generated and delivered automatically on a recurring schedule. The new Schedule Delivery is available per template in the Financial Print Designer, allowing reports to be prepared and emailed by fw Server app without manual trigger. 

Prerequisities

Scheduled delivery requires the following fw Server app settings to be configured and working correctly:

• Allow Mail
• PDF Print Export Settings

These settings are required so that the fw Server app can generate the report output and send it to the configured recipients.

Configuring Scheduled Delivery

Each Financial Report template can now have its own Scheduled Delivery configuration.

Available options include:

• Monthly or weekly recurrence
• Dynamic reporting periods, including:
  • Last month
  • Current month
  • Next month
  • Last quarter
• Object and class filters
• Recipients
  • Internal farmerswife users
  • External email addresses
• Optional CSV export sent as an additional attachment

On the configured day and at the specified Hour, the fw Server app generates the Financial Report as a PDF and sends it automatically to the selected recipients.

The email itself can be customized using the: financial_report_email.html template.

Best practice: Schedule report generation outside normal working hours to reduce the impact of report processing on regular system activity.

Financial Report Designer Access and Filtering

The Financial Report setup window also includes a new filter that lets you display:

• All reports
• Scheduled reports only

This makes it easier to identify and manage templates that are configured for automatic delivery.
