If you need to update rates on an existing project, you can always go line by line. But the quickest way is to use Rate Cards.
- Open the project, click on the eye menu and select Rate Card.
- Give it a descriptive name, e.g. "Prices update 29.10.2018".
- Next, start adding all objects, object classes, services , expenses and materials booked or used in this project.
If you build your rate card with Object Classes (or Object Classes with Activities), new prices are going to apply to all Objects booked with that Object Class. If you however add specific object, it's only going to affect its price (and not anything else).
That's it, you do not need to go in and change any prices because farmerswife is already bringing the latest rates from the Object Manager.
- When your rate card is ready you need to click on "Force Apply", so all items booked or used in this project are updated to the new prices. This action will cause that all rates get update backwards.
Next, you will be prompted "Do You Want To Reset The Rates Of Objects Not Included In The Rate Card?".
It means that if you have manually changed the price of any Object in this project, and did not add to the Rate Card, as you select Yes they will be reset to their original price. You can choose to select No to keep any manual change on the rates of those Objects.
