Client Installation on Windows

This article guides you on how to install and launch the farmerswife Desktop Client on Windows.

Key Points To Note

• From farmerswife version 7.0 onward, 32-bit operating systems are not supported.  Any systems running 32-bit operating systems, must be upgraded before upgrading to farmerswife version 7.0 and above.
• Server & Client applications must both be running the same version.

Installing the farmerswife Client Application

Download Client Application

The latest version of the farmerswife Client Application for Windows can be downloaded from here:

Windows Client Application version 7.3.

Running the Installer

1. Double click on the downloaded installer
2. Follow the Installer Wizard
   1. The recommended default install location should be: C:\Program Files\farmerswife client
   2. To select a different install location at the Select Install Destination page, click Browse and choose your desired location
   3. At the Ready To Install page, click Install
3. At the end of the Install Wizard, leave Launch farmerswife checked to launch when clicking Finish

Connecting to Your Server

If you upgraded or reinstalled the Client, connection details are usually retained.  However, if prompted to re-enter your connection details then please contact the below based on your set up:

• Locally hosted server: Contact your IT administrator for the server IP address

• Cloud hosted server: Contact farmerswife Support (support@farmerswife.com)

Once you have your connection details, open the application and click on the cog button on the top right of the Login window.

From here, you can add a new server connection with the green plus icon on the top left, or adjust an existing server connection from the list shown.

Once entered, click OK to return to the Login window, and login with your user credentials.

Removal of Install Package

Once you have installed and successfully connected to your server, you should remove the installer .exe package from your machine.
